Wireless Scanner

ISS Wireless Scanner network security application provides automated detection and security analysis of mobile networks utilising 802.11bWLAN (Wi-Fi) access points and clients.

This unique, cost-effective mobile platform protects mobile extension of traditional networks by deploying a single device to roam unobtrusively across a site and identify unauthorised and misconfigured devices. You can draw a parallel with LAN security of several years ago, when access lists and ports where about the limits of network security. The same principles apply to Wireless today and you must limit services available to, only trusted users, to secure this embryonic protocol.

Wireless Scanner allows you to adopt 802.11b with greater confidence of security status as it offers easy reports and info on how to secure the wireless LANs without blank SSID broadcast, non-encryption etc.

The other option is to wait for someone with a wireless card and netstumbler to populate your access list with blank IP and Blank DNS and kill you softly.

Day Zero Securities will wait for others to make mistakes before implimenting wireless ourselves, however we have seen enough clients with WAPs hanging in the breeze to afford some advice.
